Volunteer

SouthFest is driven by the a large team of volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer in some way in the lead up or on the day - please contact us with your name, email, phone number and availability and we will be in touch.

We are seeking the following volunteers

01 November - 15 November - Help us spread the word!

Multiple times, roles including:

  • Delivering postcards and posters to local shopping centres
  • Hand out postcards to promote South.Point to shoppers at South.Point
  • Distribute, assemble and put out roadside signage

Friday 15 November - Help us set up!

2:00pm - 7:00pm (shift of any length of time), roles including:

  • Installing signage and posters
  • Setting up crowd barriers
  • Setting up operations rooms
  • Other duties

Saturday 16 November - Help us get ready!

6:00am - 9:30am (shift of any length of time), roles including:

  • Distribute hired marquees
  • Distribute bins across site
  • Welcoming and directing stallholders
  • Set up marquees in some locations
  • Supporting any stallholder requests
  • Supervising safe bump in and ensuring stalls are on the right site
  • Setting up sound equipment for stage
  • Ensuring traffic is safely moving around the site

Saturday 16 November - Help us welcome and support attendees!

10:00am - 2:00pm (1.5 hour shifts), customer service roles including:

  • providing maps and directions
  • provide general support to event operations
  • stage and performance managers

Saturday 16 November - Help us pack up!

3:00pm - 7:00pm (any length of time), roles including:

  • Ensure safe bump out of stallholders
  • Collect bins
  • Remove signs and posters
  • Stack fencing panels and other hired equipment
  • Site tidy up and check
  • Pack coordination room
  • Support hire provider in site pack down

All volunteers receive a certificate recognising their service.

We can always use any support with graphic design, photography or videography!
